SolidAct Foundation, in partnership with Shelter Group, proudly launched its 2025/2026 school materials distribution exercise across Rwanda. Rubavu District was among the first beneficiaries—receiving 106 students from vulnerable backgrounds who are now equipped for a successful start to the academic year.
Reaching Learners Who Need Support Most
In Rubavu, 84 primary school students and 22 secondary school learners received complete packages of essential school materials. These materials included backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, mathematical sets, rulers, erasers, and drawing books. Secondary students also benefited from calculators and periodic tables.
This support addresses the pressing needs of children who often lack basic school items, making learning difficult and discouraging performance.
Restoring Dignity and Motivation
The smiles and excitement among the children reflected more than receiving materials—it represented renewed hope. Many of these students walk long distances to school and come from families struggling to provide learning resources.
This initiative ensures that no child is left behind simply because they cannot afford school supplies.
Looking Ahead: Uniforms and Shoes Coming Soon
A contract has already been signed for the supply of school uniforms, sweaters, and shoes. These items will be delivered in the next distribution phase, scheduled for 29th October 2025.
A Commitment to Education Excellence
Rubavu’s successful distribution shows SolidAct Foundation’s dedication to empowering learners so they can pursue education confidently and consistently.
With partners like Shelter Group, we continue to bring dignity, hope, and practical support to Rwanda’s youngest scholars.
