SolidAct Foundation extended its education support initiative to Rusizi District, where 100 vulnerable learners received essential school materials for the 2025/2026 academic year, thanks to generous support from Shelter Group.
Reaching Primary & Secondary Learners
The distribution in Rusizi included:
- 85 primary school students
- 15 secondary school students
This strong representation of primary pupils highlights the district’s significant need for early years support. By providing these materials, SolidAct helps children stay engaged, motivated, and equipped to perform better in school.
What Each Student Received
Each learner went home with essential items, including:
- Backpacks
- Notebooks and exercise books
- Pens and pencils
- Mathematical sets
- Rulers, erasers, drawing books
- Register files
Secondary students additionally received calculators and duplicating papers to support their advanced academic requirements.
Why This Initiative Matters
Education is often hindered by the inability of families to buy school materials. In Rusizi, this support means children can attend school with confidence, dignity, and equal opportunity to learn.
Continuing Support Through Uniforms & Shoes
Uniforms, sweaters, and shoes will be delivered after three weeks. These additions will further reduce inequality and create an environment where every child feels prepared for the school year.
A Brighter Future for Rusizi Learners
SolidAct Foundation remains committed to ensuring that all children—regardless of their background—have the tools they need to succeed.
